Day 8 – Hoi An / Da Nang / Ho Chi Minh City

Woke up to a really wet day in Hoi An but still wanted to walk through the Central Market another time. Why? I’m not sure but I just loved it more than the other markets I visited. Bought another set of chopsticks and had to go hunt for Trung Bac, the shop along Tran Phu that’s been selling Hoi An’s traditional noodles, Cao Lau, for the last 100 years…

Along the way, saw some bag shops and spied Crumpler bags! Picture Crumpler bags sold like any ole bag we have in the Singapore pasar malams or markets! Had to literally NOT hide my face and told the lady I was only willing to pay 300,000 VD though she asked for 655,000 VD. Ended up buying it for 400,000 VD which works out to be about $30!! It’s good stuff! Believe me! *wink*

Had to check out by noon and hung around the lobby with Khanh till our car came to get us to the airport for our Jetstar Pacific flight to Ho Chi Minh =)

Talked about life in Hoi An, English and life in Singapore… =) He had, by far, the best English I have come across the past week in Vietnam.

Cute little viet girl on flight …

Found a really nice hotel in HCM, Vien Dong =) with a cosy room…

And we’re back to LCD HDTVs after a short break in Hoi An! Spoilt traveller! *grin*
