Work? What work?

Yes, I’m supposed to be working but I got my priorities all wrong, so sue me! =p

Talking about feelings and emotions can be complicated. Thinking about it is perhaps even more complicated. *lol*

From Jonathan Foer’s Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close :

“Sometimes I think it would be weird if there were a skyscraper that moved up and down while its elevator stayed in place. So if you wanted to go to the ninety-fifth floor, you’d just press the 95 button and the ninety-fifth floor would come to you. Also, that could be extremely useful, because if you’re on the ninety-fifth floor, and a plane hits below you, the building could take you to the ground, and everyone could be safe, even if you left your birdseed shirt at home that day.”

Can’t seem to find the other section I absolutely love. About imagining if every one of us swallowed little microphones and we would be able to hear heartbeats so clearly. If only I could peek into that brain of yours, perhaps then it wouldn’t seem so baffling. Wish I could see the sadness, the pain, tears, happiness, joy that’s hidden behind that translucent facade & start poking around with my fingers.

Coming from the girl whom you’ve never seen, can laugh at so many “adversities”, it sometimes is a lonely place, where I am. How many people can share the humour in life and can put aside the atrocities we encounter and just laugh at a situation? Along the way, through all the anger, tears and pain, & the Rules of Love, I found this :

“A sense of humour will last you long after everything else is gone.”

The best thing of all is to find someone who can make you laugh at yourself. That will get you through life more smoothly than anything else… So next time you meet someone with gorgeous legs, or sexy eyes, or a cute smile, don’t be seduced right away. See if they can tickle you without touching first.

And of course, THE love song …

To anyone’s strings
I’m carefully trying to steer clear of those things”
