Girls’ Night Out

I hardly go out at night in KL and this was really one of those rare occasions! It was Cat’s birthday yesterday and hence the girls’ night out. It was rather impromptu actually.

She came to get me since I’m so afraid of driving J’s car coz it’s a stick-shift. Well, I’m ok with driving a manual car on the highways only coz I don’t have to change gears that often or at all! Put me on the city streets and I kinda panic behind the wheel, especially when there’s a slope or car park and I’m so afraid the car will reverse on its own. (Yeah, I know there’s always the brake pedal! But still!!!)

So back to the story, Cat came to get me and we had dinner at La Bodega, Bangsar. We shared a Paella (some Mix thingy) and it really wasn’t great. I thought the Paella was too soggy for my liking. Cat’s long-time friend, Bernie, came to join us too and he ordered the Lamp Chops tapas and it was simply divine!

I also had a strawberry cucumber smoothie and it didn’t impress me much, especially after my banana oats smoothie! Cat’s kiwi smoothie was a whole lot better and tastier.

Since it was Cat’s birthday and she hadn’t had any cake the entire day, and since we were at Bangsar, we really couldn’t give Alexis a miss! Alexis’ Tiramisu!! My treat!

Folks who haven’t tried the cakes at Alexis really should go!
