Eat Clean Week Day 02 : Getting there …

If Day 01 went good, Day 02 was even better!

I got myself a brand new blender from Philips for RM179 at AEON the other day and seriously, the Juice Diet should NEVER be called the juice diet. It should be renamed the Blender Diet! Here’s why …

If you’re thinking of getting yourself a blender, this one is pretty affordable for its features. It can crush ice and comes with a multi mill accessory for chopping hard foods like nuts, a filter accessory to filter out pits and skin, and a chopper for chopping various ingredients. The blender alone is going for RM149 but for RM30 more, you get these accessories! I thought it was well worth it!

Of course, I had my regular cup of Psyllium husks that really gives me plenty of fibre and keeps me full. For lunch, I decided to put my new blender to the test! Here’s what I dumped in :

Half cup of Peel Fresh PowerVeggies juice
2 Stalks of Coriander
3 stalks of Kale
2 green apples

Honestly, I think I put in too much coriander and kale. You can try just 3-5 leaves of kale and 1 stalk of coriander. I think that would be sufficient and will not give you the super green taste.

So a half cup of my “toxic mix” later and I was super full. I finished the entire cup and felt really full for the rest of the day.
I couldn’t even stomach dinner. (Oh wait, I know skipping meals is not right but I really couldn’t eat much. The thought of another cup of filling juice… too much too much … )

The previous times I juiced, I was using a juicer and the pulp from the fruits all went to waste plus I didn’t feel full. Using a blender definitely makes a whole lot of difference!

P.S. I didn’t take any photos of my juice coz it was a really awful green! Not appetizing to the eyes!
