Day 5 – Hue

Hue turned out to be really commercialized… the ppl here can speak English better than those in Hanoi… there’s significantly less honking on the streets though..

The Citadel was huge though badly destroyed by the French…. unfortunately… perhaps in 5 years, the refurbished n reconstructed buildings will be completed…

The tombs of the various kings were elaborate but kinda boring… but the similiarities of Chinese and Vietnamese are unmistakable…

So much chinese influence =)
And the Chinese are referred to in Hue as Mandarins…. Hahaha, makes me think ‘mandarin… ducks’!!

Dun really like Hue… Not really at ease here though the hotel Khanh arranged for us is pretty amazing!

Looking forward to Hoi An!
