Self Improvement

A happy mind begins with Positive Thinking.

Day 6 of 10 of my #ThankYouNotes Challenge

10-Day #ThankYouNotes Challenge to Kill Writer's Block

10-Day #ThankYouNotes Challenge to Kill Writer's Block
I’m thankful for all the wonderful friends I have around. To me, they are family, more family than I can ask for. Makes me think about when I was told that I would never be able to find “family” outside of my own. Well, whoever said that is wrong. Over the years, I have found that there are numerous friends I can count on in times of need. These people, I can count on more than my own family. Thank you peeps.
I’m thankful for the people who see so much potential in me, who believe in me more than my own family does. I’m thankful for those who saw me, saw my yearning for learning and “invested” in me and taught me everything I know. I’m thankful for all the opportunities I have been given by these very people. I am indeed thankful.

Finally, I am thankful that my Father in Heaven blessed me with all the above. For whatever He took away, He gave me so much more. Things aren’t always smooth-going but I’m thankful for I leave me in His hands and trust that He knows and does what is best for me. He has the best laid plans.

Day 5 of 10 of my #ThankYouNotes Challenge

10-Day #ThankYouNotes Challenge to Kill Writer's Block

It’s Day 5 of my 10-Day #ThankYouNotes Challenge. I’m actually halfway through! I’m thankful I came across Emily Gould’s Skillshare class, which prompted and inspired me to do this 10-Day challenge. It’s Day 5 and it’s the 1st thing that comes to mind in my mental To-Do List. If it’s truly become a daily habit, I couldn’t be happier. This #ThankYouNotes challenge has ‘shifted’ my brain to focus on the positive things. Even when I feel the emo monsters seeking their fun in my brain, I have to shove them all away to focus on my thank-you’s. I like that.

I’m thankful yet again for my yoga class and classmates. I’ve found that I gush about my classmates and yoga instructor after every lesson, to my hubby. And he always responds with a big smile, watching me gush. And in those moments, I’m thankful he can still smile and watch me in that loving way. I pray we’ll grow old this way.

I’m thankful for the peace I enjoy in the house every single day. This peace and quiet allows me to think clearly and sort out my thoughts that my ever-active brain churns out. This, I have my hubby to thank for. Thank you for this super conducive home/work environment where I can be me, where I can feel safe, loved and be peaceful.

Day 4 of 10 of my #ThankYouNotes Challenge

10-Day #ThankYouNotes Challenge to Kill Writer's Block

Thank you for the wonderful weekend. Friday was my hubby’s birthday and because we had to work, he was quite tired. But thanks to our wonderful Activebugs team, he had a major surprise when we arrived in Melaka. He was pranked majorly. lol

I’m thankful for the wonderful family we have in Activebugs. They are truly a dream team and I truly believe being family has made us the dream team we are. Nothing less. I’m also thankful for yet another successful teambuilding completed for one of our favorite clients.

I’m thankful for beautiful people we have in our little family and for all the beautiful people we meet in the course of our programs. It is truly a joy to know that your hard work is appreciated.

I’m thankful for having earned an elder brother and sister who love me for who I am. I’m thankful for a loving family that I’ve found in marrying my hubby and thankful for the peace we keep in the family and that we all get along well together.

I’m blessed.

Day 3 of 10 of my #ThankYouNotes Challenge

10-Day #ThankYouNotes Challenge to Kill Writer's Block

I’m thankful for a good night’s sleep. Dreamless solid sleep. I’m thankful for a fantastic yoga class yesterday evening. Thankful for funny classmates who never fail to make me laugh at myself. Thankful for the great workout, for I haven’t felt this good after a workout in a while now. I have been feeling rather lethargic of late. Perhaps I skipped too many lessons I a row, thanks to my Hongkong trip and stuff. Now that I’ve regained my strength, I hope I don’t lose momentum again.

That said, I really love my yoga classes. It’s something I call my own in this foreign land. Something I do for myself only and completely independent of my hubs. Yoga has given me a sense of belonging in this country I now call home. It’s taken me almost 6 years to get to this. It’s been a long tough and bumpy road.

I’m thankful for good business for my husband’s company. That way I can continue my work without having to worry about making ends meet. Haha! I sound like a spoilt brat who’s been pampered by her husband.

I’m also thankful for our Activebugs family. Family takes time and effort, to stay close, to stay united. Our little family has come very far and my little chicks have begun to fly the coop. I hope we continue to grow this family.

10-Day #ThankYouNotes Challenge to Kill Writer's Block

I’m thankful for a wonderful evening yesterday spent with my hubs. Although it was just dinner and looking for a table cloth for this week’s teambuilding, it was time well spent. Perhaps we will do very well together if we took part in Amazing Race. *chuckle*

I’m thankful for the laughs I had this morning, as soon as I got out of bed, just watching our lil one sliding around the floor. The floor has gotten slippery after I mopped it with Licin-Licin (I swear by this floor detergent but it’s not meant for you if you have elderly in your house) so she’s been doing a 4-legged kind of dance, trying to keep all fours rooted to the ground.

I’m thankful for a brand new day, a beautiful morning, void of negative vibes and people. I’m thankful for my yoga instructor, for her starting yoga classes in our condo compound. Thanks to her, I have been attending yoga classes religiously since the beginning of the year (2nd Jan was my 1st class.) I attend a minimum of 8 classes a month and I have seen great improvement in my poses, my posture, health and weight. I’m thankful I’m not too concerned with the digits on the weighing scale. I can’t remember the last time I weighed myself. But I’m thankful I can still wear most of my ‘slim’ clothes. In fact, my sizes have been going down.

I’m thankful for the hubs. He’s been trying very hard for almost a year now. I’m thankful he’s doing his best to be a great husband. He’s not perfect but he’s perfect enough for me and I’m thankful for that.

I’m thankful that I can work from home in the comforts of my PJs and of course, my own home.
